Munira Khan is the first woman to be appointed as a member of the first ever formed National Human Rights Commission in Bangladesh. Prior to her joining NHRC, she served as the President of Fair Election Monitoring Alliance (FEMA) (2004-2008).She also observed elections in Philipines and India.
