Sharaf Anjum Prova is a Research Intern at the Centre for Governance Studies (CGS). She completed her Bachelor of Social Science (BSS) and Master of Social Science (MSS) in Political Science from the University of Dhaka, where she developed a strong foundation in political theory, empirical research, governance, and policy analysis.

Her prior professional experience includes working as a Program Intern at the Refugee & Migratory Movements Research Unit (RMMRU), where she contributed to project ‘RAISE’. She also served as a Research Assistant at the Center for Parliamentary Studies (CPS), engaging in both primary and secondary data collection, conducting interviews with political actors, and preparing verbatim transcripts for research purposes.

Sharaf’s research portfolio includes a monograph titled ‘Caretaker Government and Democratization in Bangladesh: A Study in the Context of the National Election of 2024.’ Her academic work and research interests further reflect a focus on South Asian politics, security studies, foreign policy, human rights situations, enforced disappearance and extrajudicial killings, contemporary socio-political issues in Bangladesh, and the implications of ongoing global conflicts on vulnerable populations.
