Arif Ahmed is a Junior Fellow at the Centre for Governance Studies (CGS). Earlier he served CGS as a Field Research Assistant, Research Assistant, and Research Associate in several research projects. Mr. Ahmed writes extensively on the Justice System and Good Governance related issues of Bangladesh. He has also authored an article on the Judicial System of Bangladesh and co-authored a Policy Paper on the Digital Security Act-2018 published by CGS journal. He obtained his Bachelor and Master's Degree from the Department of Political Science, University of Dhaka. 

Currently he is a M.P.A. student of School of Public and International Affairs (SPIA), Wright State University, USA. His research interest covers governance & security, geopolitics & geo-strategy, human rights, structural corruption and political violence.
